 Katie O'Brien won Britain's only game against Ukraine |
Great Britain ended their Fed Cup campaign with a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Ukraine in Turkey on Saturday. Britain had the perfect start in the dead rubber when Katie O'Brien defeated Valeria Bondarenko 6-3 6-3.
But Ukraine won the tie when Elena Baltacha lost 6-1 6-3 to Katerina Bondarenko and Jane O'Donoghue and O'Brien and lost the doubles 6-3 6-2.
Britain had already retained their place in the Euro-African Zone Group I when they beat Denmark last week.
