Great Britain bounced back from an opening match whitewash in the Fed Cup to defeat Pool C rivals Denmark 2-1 in Turkey on Thursday. On Wednesday the team slumped to a 3-0 defeat to number four seeds Slovenia.
But in their second match, they won both singles rubbers, courtesy of Anne Keothavong and Elena Baltacha before losing the doubles rubber.
Keothavong beat Caroline Wozniacki 6-3 4-6 6-2, while Baltacha was a 6-3 7-5 winner over Karina-Ildor Jacobsgaard.
Katie O'Brien and Jane O'Donoghue, however, were unable to continue that good form in the third rubber, losing 6-3 7-6 to Jacobsgaard and Hanne Skak-Jensen.
