Davenport eases through
Lindsay Davenport
Third seed Lindsay Davenport had no trouble as she eased into the fourth round of the Pacific Life Open with a 6-0 6-3 win over Samantha Stosur.

But there was a shock for seventh seed Nadia Petrova, who went out in straight sets to Argentina's Gisela Dulko.

Tenth seed Anna Smashnova-Pistolesi also crashed out, beaten 7-5 6-4 by Nathalie Dechy of France.

Meghann Shaughnessy and Vera Zvonareva both won in straight sets, against Kristina Brandi and Claudine Schaul.
