End of the line for Gough?
Darren Gough has been in the England side for eight years
Lord MacLaurin, the chairman of the England and Wales Cricket Board, believes Darren Gough may never play cricket again.

Could Gough's cricketing career be over?

England paceman Darren Gough has flew home from Australia last week, resigned to not being able to play any part in the Ashes series.

Gough, who last played Test cricket in August 2001, has failed to overcome a persistent knee problem which has so far undergone three operations.

And now Lord MacLaurin, in his last interview before retiring from the ECB, has voiced his belief that Gough will never again play competitive cricket.

Has Gough had his day?
