Kai Horstmann skippered Worcester Warriors in his 150th game for them
Championship leaders Worcester Warriors proved too strong for Bedford as they eased to a bonus-point win at Sixways.
Top try-scorer Marcel Garvey took his season's tally to 13 with a brace as Worcester carved a 22-0 interval lead in the battle of the top two.
Tom Arscott also crossed for the Warriors during that first half as they blew Bedford's challenge away.
Aleki Lutui made sure of the bonus point early in the second half when he crossed for Worcester's fourth try.
Andy Goode was again on good form with the boot, landing two first-half conversions and a penalty as Warriors produced a clinical display.
The former England fly-half then converted Lutui's try before rounding off the scoring with a second penalty on 52 minutes.
The game was disrupted to a degree in the second period as both sides were in turn reduced to 14 men.
Bedford's back row Sacha Harding saw yellow when referee Davey finally ran out of patience with him after persistent infringements.
But Harding's return to the field coincided with Warriors' Neil Best being sent to the sidelines for foul play on the floor.
Worcester's coaching staff will reflect on a ragged end to the game as being evidence of the need to keep working hard, but they will feel they put down a marker ahead of the end-of-season play-offs.
Victory takes them 17 points clear at the top of the Championship table with only four games of the regular season remaining.
Warriors head coach Richard Hill told BBC Hereford & Worcester:
"We started well which was critical after last weekend against Bristol where we were 20 points down.
"This time we were 20 points up so it was a lot more relaxing but it was a very efficient performance.
"We are getting more precise and really after the first quarter of an hour the result was never in doubt."
