Taumoepeau has only ever scored one Premiership try for Warriors |
Worcester Warriors prop Tevita Taumoepeau has agreed a new one-year contract at Sixways. The former Tonga international, 35, joined Warriors from French side Bourgoin in 2005 and has made 121 appearances for the club. Director of rugby Mike Ruddock told BBC Hereford & Worcester: "Tevita is passionate about the Warriors. "He is a hugely popular character who is respected throughout the Premiership as a formidable scrummager." Taumoepeau, who has also previously played for Chiefs and Blues in New Zealand, and Northampton, said: "I'm really happy at Warriors and have enjoyed my five years at the club. "It's great for me to sign a new contract and now I just want to play as much as I possibly can to help Worcester move up the league table."
