Taumoepeau was forced off after 19 minutes against Harlequins |
Worcester have taken Birmingham and Solihull prop Ricky Davies on trial after suffering another front row injury on Saturday. Tevita Taumoepeau dislocated two fingers in the defeat at Harlequins to join Olivier Sourgens, Matt Mullan and Shaun Ruwers on the sidelines. Former Scarlets tight-head Davies, 29, is training with Warriors this week. Director of rugby Mike Ruddock told BBC Hereford and Worcester: "There aren't a huge amount of tight-heads out there." He added: "It is a difficult position to pick players up for, there are not a lot of coaches who want to give up their tight-heads to come and play for another team." The quartet of injuries leaves Ruddock Adam Black, Callum Black and the inexperienced Jack Gilding as Ruddock's only fit props, although Sourgens could return for Sunday's trip to Newcastle.
