Worcester Warriors are close to having a main sponsor for next season and are in talks with a shirt manufacturer. The club closed the Kukri store at Sixways earlier this month, but say reports that they are to sell off the stock are inaccurate. General manager Charlie Little told BBC Hereford and Worcester: "We hope to make an announcement in the next week about our main sponsor." Worcester had a deal with Worcester-based npower for the past six years. Little also hopes to sort out the problems with the club's kit manufacturers very soon. "We are also in talks with several companies about shirt sponsorship, again these talks are ongoing and we hope to have a deal in the near future," he said. Warriors signed a 10-year deal with Kukri in 2008, the company has supplied the Premiership club's kit since 2004 and had taken over all of their retail activities. They also sponsored the North Stand and ran the 2,500 sq ft rugby and sports superstore at Sixways.
