Warriors seize control of store

Charlie Little says Warriors are in talks with Kukri

Worcester Warriors have confirmed their shop at Sixways has closed.

Warriors say the Kukri Sixways Store has closed with immediate effect and they have taken control of the stock.

The shop was closed a year after the Warriors and Kukri announced a multi-million deal for the company to run retail activity at Sixways.

A club spokesman said they remain in dialogue with Kukri Sports and are both disappointed and saddened they have been forced to take this action.

The club's general manager Charlie Little confirmed to BBC Hereford & Worcester that the store had closed, but says they are in talks with Kukri.

The club's official statement claimed the closure of the store will not have any major impact on the club.
