Foden has yet to win an England cap at senior level

Full-back Ben Foden has targeted an England call-up after another impressive performance for Northampton.

The 23-year-old, who joined Saints from Sale last summer, scored a brilliant try in Saturday's 30-8 Guinness Premiership victory over Bristol.

"England have people watching every game - there's always someone there," Foden told BBC Radio Northampton.

"Obviously it's in the back of your mind, but that's where you try and keep it," he added.

"The main thing is just to keep on performing well and somebody will take notice. I'm not worried about it.

"I've got a good running game, and if opposing teams give me a bit of space or let me break a few tackles I can cause a bit of damage."

Victory for Northampton left them in ninth place in the Premiership table, 10 points clear of Bristol who continue to prop up the rest.
