Leicester director of rugby Richard Cockerill says that he expects Argentine full-back Lucas Amorosino to leave Welford Road in the summer.

Amorosino, 25, joined in September 2009 but has struggled to make an impact despite earning a new deal last season.

Cockerill told BBC Radio Leicester: "Lucas will more than likely go and play in France next year.

"There are lots of Argentineans there and he wants some more game time and I understand that."

Cockerill added: "With Geordan Murphy and Scott Hamilton here, he is down the pecking order - and on the wings we have some consistent performers.

"Unfortunately, he has not developed and come on as well as we would both have liked."
