Leicester Tigers trio agree new contracts

Jeremy Staunton
Staunton was the first player to reach 100 Premiership points this term

Leicester Tigers have agreed new deals with winger Lucas Amorosino, fly-half Jeremy Staunton and hooker Joe Duffey.

All three players moved to Welford Road last year.

Former Wasps star Staunton, 29, has scored 156 points for Tigers this season and Amorosino, 25, has scored four times in nine appearances.

Duffey, 27, who joined from Nottingham, made his debut against Worcester Warriors in October and also featured during their Heineken Cup campaign.

Cockerill told the club's website: "Lucas is a very exciting player and we look forward to seeing him develop.

"Staunts has settled in very quickly in a key position and Joe is learning all the time and will continue to develop as a player here."
