An inexperienced Leicester Tigers side had an evening to forget in their debut Premiership Sevens appearance. Tigers finished bottom of their pool in the northern leg of the JP Morgan Sevens Series at Welford Road, losing all three of the matches. Leicester were beaten 19-7 by a strong Newcastle Falcons side before losing a thrilling match against Leeds 33-26 in the closing seconds. Tigers were then beaten 33-10 by Sale in their final outing.
