Leeds Carnegie have signed England Saxons fly-half Adrian Jarvis from Championship side Bristol.
The 27-year-old, who joined Bristol from Harlequins in 2008, made his final appearance in Sunday's 26-16 win over Birmingham & Solihull.
He told BBC Radio Bristol: "I'm pleased to go out with a win. I'm leaving with a slightly heavy heart.
"But at 27, I couldn't really turn down the opportunity to play Premiership rugby again."
He continued: "I've loved it at Bristol. I've had a fantastic time. It's such a great city and squad of guys. But I'm excited about things to come.
"I'll keep a close eye on how the guys are doing. I have no doubt they can kick on from here.
"The team have really come on leaps and bounds in the last week or two."
Leeds Director of Rugby Andy Key said: "Throughout the season, we have identified that fly half and goal kicker are two key areas where we do not have the same level of cover as other positions within our squad, in terms of senior players.
"Adrian has a great deal of experience from his time at Bristol and Harlequins and will give us strength in depth in that position as we face a vital run of games in the Aviva Premiership."
Jarvis leaves Bristol eighth in the Championship for Leeds, who are bottom of the Premiership table.
