Gomarsall was injured on his 200th Premiership appearance |
Leeds Carnegie scrum-half Andy Gomarsall is in contention to face his former club Wasps on Sunday after encouraging news on an injury. The World Cup winner went off in the first half of Friday's win at Sale, his 200th Premiership game, but the injury is not as bad as first feared. Carnegie head coach Neil Back said: "The medical staff have been working with him over the weekend. "We are confident he will be okay to face Wasps come Sunday afternoon." Gomarsall began his career with Wasps back in 1997 and made 26 appearances for the London side.
