Leeds Carnegie scrum-half Andy Gomarsall says he will be privileged to make Premiership appearance 200 at Sale Sharks on Friday.
The former England player, who has played for a record seven clubs in the top flight, will become only the sixth player to hit the milestone.
"I'm very privileged. I'm looking forward to the game as it's a big one," Gomersall told BBC Radio Leeds.
"It will be nice to step out there knowing I've done my years."
London Wasps' Simon Shaw holds the record of most appearances, which currently stands at 222.
However, Gomarsall will now join the likes of Hugh Vyvyan, Kris Chesney, Chris Fortey and former Leeds hooker Mark Regan for playing 200 games or more.
"I've been very lucky that I've avoided major injuries and I've prided myself on working hard and keeping myself very fit," explained Gomarsall.
"I've been luckily to work with some great fitness people and physios that have kept me going over the years and I'm grateful to all of them for that.
"It would be awesome to mark my 200th game with a win. We are all just dreaming about getting the wins we need to stay in this league.
"I'm always going to remember game 200 and it would be even more pleasurable if we got the win in it too."
Gomersall signed a one-year contract with Leeds after leaving Harlequins and will decide his future at the end of season.
"I will decide everything at the end of the season. I won't announce anything early on. I want to get to the end of the season and see if I want to keep going.
"When you get to the stage of your career I'm at you need a longer summer break. Once you have that you normally say to yourself I could do another season.
"Of course I'd love to play for as long as I can but there are opportunities there for me on and off the field. So it's just to see where I'm at in the summer time.
"I'm just very thankful for the time I've had and it's been a great ride."
