Leeds Carnegie will still stay up - Neil Back

Neil Back
Back's Leeds have yet to win at home in the Premiership this season

Leeds Carnegie head coach Neil Back remains "100% confident" the club will stay in the Premiership.

Leeds are five points adrift of Worcester Warriors at the foot of the table following their losing bonus-point loss to Leicester Tigers.

"We are not a bad team and we are nearly there to fully clicking," Back told BBC Radio Leeds.

"I'm 100% confident that if we continue to believe in ourselves we will stay in this league and then kick on further."

Leeds have won just twice in the Premiership this season at London Wasps and Newcastle Falcons.

"I'm sure that win will come, it will come and then we will get the momentum we need.

"We have to keep working hard for each other and keep giving everything we've got and if we do that we will achieve our objectives.

"I think the teams above us are sweating and with the performances we are putting in other teams know games against Leeds Carnegie are going to be very tough.

"We know we still have to improve in certain areas and our game management needs to work.

"If we perform to the standard we did against Leicester then we will win games and that is the type of performance we now need to put in for last nine games of the season and also improve in some areas.

"We don't have to win all nine games we have to slowly creep up on those above us and then the pressure will all be on them," he added.
