Dickinson joined Gloucester in 2007 and has won 19 Scotland caps |
Gloucester and Scotland prop Alasdair Dickinson could be sidelined for three months after being told he will require an operation on an injured shoulder. The 27-year-old will undergo surgery on 8 December after suffering the blow during Scotland's Test match defeat against New Zealand on 13 November. Gloucester head coach Bryan Redpath told BBC Gloucestershire: "He's probably out for two to three months. "But you can never tell until you go in and have a look at the damage done." Gloucester will also be without lock Jim Hamilton for the foreseeable future after he suffered a foot injury. The 28-year-old is being assessed by Kingsholm medical staff but has been ruled out of Friday night's Premiership match against Sale at Edgeley Park.
