Hamilton scored his first try for Scotland against Argentina this year

Gloucester lock Jim Hamilton could be sidelined for several weeks with a foot injury picked up on Scotland duty.

Hamilton played the last 21 minutes of Scotland's win over Samoa on Saturday but afterwards was found to have fractured his metatarsal.

The former Edinburgh lock will be X-rayed when he reports back to Kingsholm on Tuesday.

Gloucester are fourth in the Aviva Premiership and next visit Sale Sharks on Friday.
