Gloucester hand Nottingham's Tim Taylor two-year deal
Taylor has spent time at Saracens and the Crusaders in New Zealand
Gloucester have signed Nottingham fly-half Tim Taylor on a two-year deal less than a month into his loan spell.
The 27-year-old was signed as cover until the end of the season for Freddie Burns and Nicky Robinson after Carlos Spencer left and played three times.
"It's definitely been good for me to get another chance at this level," Taylor told BBC Radio Gloucestershire.
"I'd signed for Nottingham for next year, so that was my plan there, but to have this opportunity is brilliant."
Taylor made his mark for the Cherry & Whites by kicking the winning conversion in the last-gasp LV Cup= victory at Harlequins earlier this month.
Holding his nerve, Taylor underlined his value by kicking Gloucester into the semi-finals of the tournament, but he insists being a hero was never his aim in impressing Bryan Redpath and the Kingsholm coaching staff.
He said: "What they look for at Gloucester is players who work hard and train hard and buy in to their culture.
"Since I've been here I've just tried to learn everything as quick as I can and if I get the chance to play take it 100%."
