All Blacks doubt for Somerville

Grag Somerville
Somerville will join Gloucester from Canterbury in December

Gloucester-bound prop Greg Somerville could win his 65th and final cap this weekend for New Zealand in the Tri-Nations decider against Australia.

Reports from down under suggest All Blacks coach Graham Henry is unlikely to pick Somerville to tour this autumn.

"He's eligible for selection if we require him, we've got to make sure we do that right," Henry said.

"It depends on how everybody is, it's six weeks away and if there's a problem at tighthead prop he may well tour."

The 30-year-old, who has signed a two-and-a-half year deal with the Cherry & Whites, will arrive in December after playing out the domestic season with Canterbury Crusaders.
