Patrice Collazo will say farewell to Kingsholm in a Barbarians shirt |
Gloucester have confirmed Patrice Collazo will be released by the club after his contract expires. The 34-year-old prop's farewell game at Kingsholm will be for the Barbarians against Ireland on 27 May. "Patrice Collazo is saying goodbye," former Gloucester prop and Barbarians Committee member Mike Burton told BBC Radio Gloucestershire. "He's at the end of his contract, so it will be his last appearance, which is always a bit emotional for a player." Collazo has had two spells with Gloucester, first in 2001 and then again in 2005, playing 79 times. The former France international was a member of the Cherry and Whites team which won the European Challenge Cup in 2006. Two other Gloucester players - Iain Balshaw and Lesley Vainikolo - have also accepted invites to play for the Baa-Baas having both been overlooked for England's summer tour to New Zealand.
