Former Wales captain Gareth Thomas could join forces with long-time England foe Lawrence Dallaglio in Barbarians colours this summer.

The duo have been invited on the club's annual summer tour which includes games against England, Ireland and Belgium.

Thomas has already accepted his debut invitation while Dallaglio is among a glut of star names also offered the chance to again take to the big stage.

Other invitees include Wallabies Stephen Larkham and Chris Latham.

Leinster fly-half, Argentine Felipe Contepomi could also join up with South African Ollie Le Roux, veteran England hooker Mark Regan and Frenchman Sebastien Chabal.

While the Barbarians await replies from those star names, Llanelli Scarlets once-capped All Blacks centre Regan King has accepted his chance to play for the Barbarians.

The Barbarians summer tour kicks off against a Belgian XV in Brussels on Saturday 24 May, followed by facing Ireland at Kingsholm, Gloucester on Wednesday 27 May - the venue chosen because Croke Park is unavailable.

The tour ends with its highlight, an encounter with England at Twickenham on Sunday 1 June.

Cardiff Blues coach Dai Young will take charge of the tour.
