Veteran players Danny Grewcock and Duncan Bell have signed contract renewals with Bath.

Former England international Grewcock, 37, has put pen to paper for another year and Bell, 35, has committed to two more years at the club.

Coach Steve Meehan said: "Danny is one of our most respected players, who does a terrific amount of community work.

"Duncan had a very good 2009 playing many matches for Bath and winning an England recall."

Lock Grewcock has made 195 appearances for the club since 2001 and will continue to combine his on field role with a player development brief.

"It is great to be in the unique position where I can do what I love, play rugby, and also be able to help the development of some of the younger players in the club," he said.

Prop Bell, who grew up in the West Country, has played just under 160 games for Bath since coming to the Rec in 2003.

"I want to be here for as long as I can," he said.

"I want to win things and be part of something special. I know that things are pointing in the right direction with the coaching staff and off the field to achieve that."
