Lawrence Dallaglio is keen for England to prove they are still the most feared pack in world rugby when they face Australia on Saturday. The world champions were unable to compete up front against New Zealand, although they had Simon Shaw sent off in the second of two Test defeats.
And Dallaglio is keen for his side to set the record straight in Brisbane.
"Scrummaging is something that we haven't really managed to get ourselves into on this trip," he said.
"We didn't scrummage particularly well in the first Test, and we couldn't really scrummage very well in the second Test, so it would be nice to have a confrontation there."
Despite England's failures against the All Blacks, Wallabies flanker Phil Waugh still expects a tough battle.
"England are still very physical, very strong up front - and Test matches are won up front," he said.
"Whichever forward pack dominates set pieces and the tackle contest will win the game.
"They are still a very experienced forward pack, a very strong forward pack.
"I think Joe Worsley and Richard Hill play hard on the ball, Lawrence plays hard on the ball as well.
"They lose a little bit of experience losing Neil Back, but not a lot in terms of the combination of their back row."
