Wasps moved to the top of Pool Six after thrashing Calvisano in the Heineken Cup at the Causeway Stadium. But there was some bad news with Stuart Abbott limping out of the match and possibly England's Six Nations squad with a damaged ankle.
However, Wasps still managed to run in seven tries, including a hat-trick from John Rudd and a penalty try, to earn a bonus point.
Emiliano Mulieri went over for a consolation score for the Italians.
Abbot was replaced by Ayoola Erinle in the 13th minute, after he stopped a Calvisano move which threatened a try.
The Italians has already gone ahead through a Gerard Fraser penalty and went further ahead through another shortly after.
But Wasps stepped up the intensity and were rewarded with their first points through the boot of Alex King.
The first of Wasps three first- half tries came when referee Rob Dickson gave a penalty try for persistent infringements by Calvisano.
The Italians were further stretched in the 30th minute when their kicker Fraser was sent to the sin-bin.
Wasps added two more tries in that period - left-wing John Rudd charged over in the right-hand corner and then substitute centre Erinle dived over.
King converted both difficult kicks to make the score 24-6.
The next try came 10 minutes into the second half with flanker Jonny O'Connor going over with his pack pushing behind him.
Three more tries came in the last quarter of the match for Wasps, with prop Tim Payne scoring in the 68th minute, before Rudd completed his hat-trick with two further tries.
The last in the 76th minute was the try of the match with a flowing move involving many hands ending with a flamboyant dive by the winger under the posts.
But the Italians had the last word as Mulieri scored under the posts and Fraser converted.
