An ill-disciplined Dragons side were thoroughly outclassed by Stade Francais in Paris.

Stade crossed for five tries as the Welsh side failed to reproduce the form which brought them a 20-12 home win against the French side last week.

Captain Mathieu Blin scored twice, with Ignacio Corleto, Pierre Rabadan and Christophe Dominici also touching down.

The Dragons, who received three yellow cards, are now bottom of Pool One but can still qualify for the next round.

Stade and Leicester are joint leaders with 10 points, a point ahead of Ulster and two in front of the Dragons.

The home side got off to a good start as Diego Dominguez converted two early shots at goal, as the penalty count rocketed against the under-pressure Welsh side.

And it was not long before he converted the game's first try after Dominici's delightful one-handed pass released full-back Corleto from the touchline to score on 26 minutes.

We've got to get over this disappointment and focus on next weekend's game with Leicester

Last week's confrontation at Rodney Parade was marred by several outbreaks of violence, and after little more than half an hour, Gwent flanker Jason Forster was sent to the sin-bin for a high tackle on Brian Liebenburg.

Dominguez nudged the subsequent penalty into the corner from which Stade's pack used their numerical advantage to drive over from close range, number eight Rabadan getting the touchdown after 33 minutes.

A minute before the break, Stade scored an almost identical try, this time hooker Blin heading the drive over the line.

Matters did not get any easier for the visitors after the break as Stade took only four minutes of the second half to secure a bonus point with a fourth try.

If you look at the way teams have turned around results when they have gone back home it is obvious this group will be very tight.

Corleto was once again the instigator with a bursting run which was followed up by Dominguez before the ball was spread wide for Dominici to stroll over in the corner.

The Dragons were again reduced to 14 men when centre Hal Luscombe was sin-binned for his involvement in a fracas.

Despite their numerical advantage, Stade failed to inflict any further pain on the Dragons as the game petered out and it was not until the final minute of the game that they finally crossed the line again.

Replacement prop Adam Black had become the third Welshman to be shown the yellow card for a body check on David Skrela.

And facing a reduced pack once again Stade turned to their favourite weapon, the driving line-out, from which captain Blin darted over into the corner for his second.
