Gloucester completed a successful Italian job with a bonus-point victory in their opening Heineken Cup match against Treviso.
Lock Adam Eustace secured the extra point by snatching a fourth try in injury time to give last season's Zurich Premiership runners-up an ideal start.
Number eight Junior Paramore grabbed two tries in a man-of-the-match display, with England wing James Simpson-Daniel also on the scoresheet.
Henry Paul added two conversions and three penalties as Gloucester stretched away in the second half with 18 unanswered points.
But they were made to work hard in the opening period as Treviso were rewarded for their early endeavours.
Centre Tommaso Visentin and wing Gonzalo Canale both crossed for tries but Gloucester still led 15-12 at half-time.
Visentin scored under the posts after Francois Smith had cut the Gloucester defence open, but the visitors - despite losing Thinus Delport to the sin bin for a ruck offence - hit back in style.
Simpson-Daniel may have been left out of England's World Cup squad, but he showed signs he is returning to his best with a scintillating indidvidual try.
Receiving the ball inside his own 22, the youngster beat almost everyone in the Treviso side before going over in the corner. Treviso regained the lead when Canale beat Simpson-Daniel to Alessandro Troncon's probing kick ahead, hacked the ball on and dived on it to score.
But Samoan veteran Paramore pounced immediately from the kick-off to edge the visitors ahead with his first try.
Two Paul penalties early in the second period extended Gloucester's lead before Paramore's second score effectively sealed victory.
The visitors' heavier pack, bolstered by the return of England World Cup heroes Trevor Woodman and Phil Vickery, drove them on.
Their persistence was further rewarded in the 81st minute when Peter Buxton sent fellow replacement Eustace over from 30 metres to seal the bonus point.
"We made it difficult for ourselves in the opening 20 minutes, but after that we played some good rugby," said Gloucester coach Dean Ryan.
