Cheeseman is Esher's sixth signing of the season

Championship outfit Esher have signed centre Tom Cheeseman following his release from Harlequins.

The 25-year-old, who has represented Wales at Under-19 level, has also had spells with Premiership side Bath and Welsh region Newport Gwent Dragons.

Esher coach Mike Schmid said: "Tom is a great signing for us. He's a quality guy and a quality player.

"He has vast experience of Premiership rugby and we are sure he will be a leader on and off the field."

Schmid added: "Quins think highly of him and he will continue to train with them, but he is an Esher-registered player."
