Sale Jets 60-28 Worcester A

Jonny Arr
Jonny Arr played his second game in three days as he skippered Warriors A

A young Worcester Warriors A side were well beaten by leaders Sale at Heywood Road, with several players making their second appearance in three days.

Charlie Hayter (2) and England Under-20 international Andy Short crossed as Warriors battled against a much more experienced Sale side.

Warriors were further handicapped as young captain Jonny Arr was yellow carded in the second half.

Sale back row Ben Davey and winger Rhys Crane both grabbed a brace.

Warriors' Championship game at Doncaster Knights on Wednesday looks set to go ahead, and there will be full commentary on BBC Hereford & Worcester on 104 FM and online.

Meanwhile Edinburgh club side Currie say they are confident they can stage the British and Irish Cup game against Worcester on Friday.

If the ground at Malleny Park is not fit they say they will find another ground in the city to play on.
