Gloucester scrum-half Rory Lawson has his eye on the EDF Energy Cup |
Gloucester have made the EDF Cup a high priority this season, says Cherry and Whites scrum-half Rory Lawson. "It is not viewed as a high priority as the other cups," said Lawson. "But, with the short nature en route to the final, clubs are wise to target it." "It brings something different away from the Premiership," Lawson told BBC Gloucestershire. Gloucester get back to EDF Cup duty when they play Newport-Gwent Dragons at Kingsholm this Saturday (1500 BST).
The Cherry and Whites won the first of their three games in Group A at the start of October, beating Wasps 24-19 at Kingsholm. After this Saturday's game, they then wind up the group with a trip to Newcastle on Saturday week (1 November, 1500 GMT). Full commentary on this Saturday's game will be broadcast online and on BBC Radio Gloucestershire 1413 MW.
