Simpson-Daniel has impressed this season after an early injury |
England winger James Simpson-Daniel has pledged his future to Gloucester by signing a new three-year contract. The 23-year-old, who has won eight England caps, has scored 12 tries in 13 appearances for his club this season.
"He's an outstanding talent with an ability to become world class," coach Dean Ryan told the club website.
"We're delighted he has pledged his future to us. There was never a chance we would let him go - we want him to be part of Gloucester's future."
Simpson-Daniel joined Gloucester from school in 2000 and scored on his Premiership debut a year later, against Rotherham.
 | I simply couldn't envisage playing my rugby anywhere else |
His career record is 43 tries in 77 appearances, and only a combination of injury and illness has prevented him winning more England caps.
Having sorted out his future, Simpson-Daniel is keen to advance his reputation at domestic and international level.
"I am thrilled everything has been sorted out because I simply couldn't envisage playing my rugby anywhere else," he said.
"When this contract expires I will have been at the club for nine years and I want to be part of a team that is challenging for honours and winning things.
"Hopefully now we can end the season strongly in the Challenge Cup and Premiership.
"My aim is also to try and realise my international ambitions and at Gloucester I am in a perfect place to make that happen."
