The versatile 23-year-old came off during England's 40-3 victory over Samoa at the weekend because of a hip injury after winning his eighth cap.

Gloucester coach Dean Ryan said: "His right hip is very sore. He will continue to be monitored this week.

"We will just have to keep a close eye on the situation and watch how the bruising reacts to treatment."
