Vagabonds have dropped to 10th place in the South Lancashire/Cheshire Division One after a 22-3 defeat in Hoylake. The team now lies just seven points off 13th placed Glossop and will face a relegation battle to avoid following Oswestry to Division Two. Meanwhile Douglas lost 24-7 at home to Southport on Saturday and slipped a Division Two place in the process. The visitors led 11-0 at half-time but a second-half Douglas fight back was on the cards when Nathan Pearce crossed for a try which was converted by Mark Shortland. Southport however ran in two more of their own tries to leave Douglas in 11th place. Elsewhere in the division, Ramsey grabbed a bonus point in their 22-13 win over Sefton at Mooragh Park. The visitors led 13-5 at half time after Ramsey struggled when Tynan Pritchard was sin binned, but a Peter Verrall try kept them in it. But in the second-half Ramsey hit back with tries from Will Keenan and Verrall's second, before Lance Wyllie bagged the bonus point at the end, with Fintan Cummins converting. Vagas ladies beat third-placed Darlington 31-26 to record their fourth win of the season. Skipper Fran Hunt led the way with a hat trick of tries. There were also tries from Rachel Beckley and Abbie Corkish, plus three conversions from Cath Moore.
