The Sarnian's lead dropped from eight points to three after the weekend |
Guernsey Rugby Club's lead has narrowed at the top of the London Two South West division after their first loss at home this season on Saturday. They were beaten by Effingham and Leatherhead 31-19 in only their second defeat so far this season. The Sarnian side was suffering after a number of key players were ruled out with injuries. The defeat has allowed second placed Guildford to move within three points after beating Weybridge Vandals 39-3. Guernsey have yet to play Guildford after their first match was postponed due to bad weather before Christmas. That game has been rescheduled for two weeks time and they are due to meet again within three weeks.
