Hill's Warriors side are 17 points clear at the top of the league |
Worcester Warriors players who are not involved in the next two games face a tough fortnight of gym work, promises coach Richard Hill. Warriors will rest most of their regulars for the British & Irish Cup games against Leinster in Dublin and at home to Plymouth. "Players are going to spend two weeks in the gym now with hard work," Hill told BBC Hereford and Worcester. "There will be no let-up. These boys are going to be very tired." He added: "The next group of players will come in now and play against Leinster and Plymouth Albion the week after. "We will put the other boys through a mini play-off pre-season to give them another burst and spike of fitness." | After the icy weather and Christmas period, now is the time to really put some hard work into them. Hill says he wants his first choice 22 to be in peak condition for the closing games in the league and then into the play-offs. "After the icy weather and Christmas period, now is the time to really put some hard work into them. "They will be fatigued over the next two weeks, but the work they have put in should pay off come March and April in the play-offs. "It is a good time for us to be able to pull that first 22 squad out and do a bit of extra physical work with them. "It all starts again in the play-offs so we have got to make sure we just get better." While the Warriors saw off second-placed Bedford at Sixways on Saturday to go 17 points clear at the top, Hill admitted that it was not a perfect performance. "There will still times when Bedford had chances to score against us last weekend," said Hill. "We have got to rule all those possibilities out. "Rule out the errors that we are still making. It is work, work, work and leave nothing to chance."
