Worcester Warriors have been forced to postpone their Boxing Day Championship clash with Moseley at Sixways. The game has already been rescheduled and will now be played two days later on Tuesday, 28 December (1500 GMT). "With 10 inches of snow it will take around two days to clear the pitch," said general manager Charlie Little. "Temperatures could fall as low as minus 13 on Christmas Day evening so if we take the snow off prior to that we risk the pitch not being playable." Little says the postponement was the only sensible option available to them despite an already crowded fixture list. "The ground staff can start to clear the snow from Boxing Day onwards and we aim to play on the Tuesday Bank Holiday," he said. "While we are disappointed we can't play on Boxing Day we believe by moving the game back two days we have the best chance of staging our festive fixture and ensuring our fans enjoy some rugby this Christmas." Supporters are advised that all existing tickets will be valid for the re-arranged date.
