Plymouth Albion made Worcester Warriors work - Hill
Richard Hill felt his side showed real character in the win at Plymouth
Worcester Warriors head coach Richard Hill said his side had to work extremely hard to record their second straight Championship victory.
Worcester had to overturn a half-time deficit to win 26-19 at Plymouth Albion thanks to a Miles Benjamin hat-trick.
Hill told BBC Hereford and Worcester: "Anybody who was here would realise that we did make heavy weather of it.
"That is slightly unfair on Plymouth as after their 50-point thrashing last week they fronted up physically."
Hill was particularly frustrated by his side's first-half showing as they went into the break trailing 13-12.
"In the first half we were letting go of the ball after a couple of phases and it took a while before we were actually going forward," he said.
"There were a few comments from the crowd and I quite accept that it was like watching Worcester last year in that we were going from side to side with lots of possession but not going too far forward.
"Plymouth's defence were just going from side to side and shuffling us towards the touchlines and waiting for us to make mistakes, which we did.
"In the second half we tried to have a little bit more discussion about that and tried to get a little bit of 'go forward'."
Former England fly-half Andy Goode came on in the second half and kicked three penalties, and Hill felt he and the Warriors' other replacements made a difference.
"Suddenly we started to dominate when we brought on some fresh legs," he added.
"I think when the opposition saw the likes of Greg Rawlinson, Tevita Taumoepeau and Aleki Lutui come on they thought: 'We haven't got too much to match that'.
"We had a great scrum in the midfield when we drove them back 20 metres and got a penalty that we kicked, so we started to gain ascendancy in the last 20 minutes."
