Walker started 15 games for Newcastle Falcons last season

Championship new-boys Esher have signed scrum-half Clive Stuart-Smith and hooker Alex Walker.

Stuart-Smith, 27, joins after being released by Exeter while 26-year-old Walker moves from Newcastle Falcons.

Esher team manager Dave Page said: "Clive has shown that he is a class player and he can impart a lot of knowledge to other players.

"Alex and Clive have fitted in really well in training and have gelled with the other players already."

Esher, who begin the new season away to Moseley on 28 August, have now signed 12 players since winning promotion to the Championship.
