Cornish Pirates have signed Matt Hopper from local rivals Plymouth Albion. The 25-year-old centre, whose father is former Exeter captain Keith Hopper, moved to Albion in September 2008 after spending a season in Australia. Pirates chief executive Rod Coward said: "Matt has shown he has the skills to succeed in the Championship. "We believe he will excel in the environment that [high performance manager] Chris Stirling and his coaching staff are creating."
