Departing Redruth boss Nigel Hambly was unable to deliver a farewell win as his side lost to Esher on Saturday. Hambly's men failed to counter the already promoted Esher's attacking prowess, conceding five tries. James Copsey, Jonny Hylton, Shawn Renick and David Slemen (2) were the scorers for the home side. The Reds did score one try, with Darren Jacques going over, giving an air of respectability to Hambly's last game in charge of the club. Esher, who are champions of National One, have only lost one match all season, and are 22 points ahead of second-placed London Scottish, despite still having two games left to play. Redruth finish the season 11th in the table with 69 points from their 30 games, although they could still be overtaken by Cinderford who also have two games remaining.
