Forster is a former Wales international

Henley Hawks will not renew the contract of head coach Jason Forster, saying it is not financially prudent to have a full-time coach at Dry Leas.

Former player Steve Barnes will take the role after success coaching the Hawks' second string.

He will work with former first team coach Nigel Dudding.

Chairman of playing Mike Poulson said: "We are enormously grateful for the time, enthusiasm and expertise Fozzy has brought in the last two years."

He added: "We may well not have been in the positive position we are in now, with an excellent squad platform to build on, without him.

"He will leave with our best wishes and gratitude for a job well done, and we will always consider him a part of HRFC. "
