Five-try Bristol comfortably beat Plymouth Albion at Brickfields to gain a crucial bonus point in the Championship play-offs.

James Phillips and Junior Fatialofa both scored twice for Bristol with Lee Robinson also going over.

Albion could only a muster a late consolation try from Matt Hooper in reply, with Kieran Hallet converting.

Bristol lead Pool A of the play-offs on 14 points from four games, whilst Albion are bottom with just one point.

Consequently, Graham Dawe's side are no longer able to qualify for the semi-finals of the play-offs.

Bristol continue their campaign against Bedford next weekend, whilst Albion host Cornish Pirates at Brickfields on Friday.

Bristol head coach Paul Hull told BBC Radio Bristol:
"To get a win away from home and a bonus-point victory, hopefully that will kick-start our play-off campaign.

"We were a bit more clinical and a bit more direct in the second half and got the rewards for that.

"There was 15-man rugby, tries scored through the middle, through the forwards and out-wide through the backs so hopefully getting back to where we were a couple of months ago.
