Six of Redruth's first team players have left the club after pay cuts were imposed last week.
Avilan Neathling, Fraser Cliverd, Mark Scrivener, Gareth Evans, Brett Stroud and Ashley Morcom have all left.
Wage cuts were introduced last week, with the Reds secretary Roger Watson admitting to cash-flow problems.
Head coach Nigel Hambly told BBC Radio Cornwall: "We've lost a few and you're always going to when these things happen, so that is disappointing."
"I'm a great believer that if you sign a contract for a year, irrespective of what happens, if you say you're going to play somewhere, you're going to play it, you're going to fulfil that.
"But everyone's got their own personal needs, everyone's got their own personal requirements and that's up to them," Hambly added.
With a weakened Redruth side now set to face Newbury in National One at the Rec on Saturday, Hambly said his remaining squad are determined to fight on.
"The players that have stayed have been fantastic.
"It's nice to see that in this day and age of professional rugby that you've got some players that will put the club before their own needs."
