Redruth's rugby players have accepted a pay cut as the club attempts to reduce its expenditure.
Officials at Redruth admitted there is a cash flow problem at the club, but told BBC Cornwall they do not think it will affect their long term future.
Red's secretary Roger Watson said: "Like many businesses we're struggling with cash flow at the moment.
"So in order to ensure that we can meet our regular outgoings we've asked the players to take a reduction in pay."
Watson dismissed claims that some of the Reds players have taken a 50% reduction in their wages, although he did admit that the cuts will last until the end of the season.
"There have been all sorts of rumours about it being a 50% cut," said Watson. "But, it is nowhere near that.
"The actual figures are confidential," he added.
"Each player's remuneration is confidential between them and the director of rugby, Dave Penberthy."
With local rivals Mounts Bay going out of business earlier this year, and several other lower league clubs including Birmingham & Solihull facing financial woes at present, Watson was quick to dismiss fears that the Reds could find themselves with similar problems.
"Its a cash flow problem rather than anything else," he reiterated.
"We've acted prudently now before the situation gets out of control.
"This year we're doing well and we'll probably show a small profit for the current financial year."
