  | Exeter have enjoyed a solid start to their campaign and we would love to spoil their party" |
The last two weeks haven't exactly gone to plan for the team. A week after leaving ourselves too much to do in the second half away at Rotherham, we turned in a frustrating performance against Bedford in front of our home fans which again, saw us control some parts of the game, while appearing to lose that edge in others. The three tries conceded in the last 10 minutes flattered the scoreline a little for them, but we are aware of what we need to work on and have been grafting hard this week to put it right. It seems like an over-used cliche now but it is all about gelling as a team. We feel we are very close to a big performance that will get us on the right tracks and that it is just a matter of time before this happens. What better place to put it right than away at Exeter on Saturday afternoon? The arch-rivals meet once again and as a team we are thoroughly looking forward to putting right a few wrongs. Exeter have enjoyed a solid start to their campaign and we would love to spoil their party. Being the strong side they are, they will be fully prepared for us, as we will for them, so the prospect of running out into the intense derby atmosphere and going toe to toe with them is an exciting one. Now that we have had the pleasure of each other's company for some time, a lot of banter has been flying about, some of which has culminated in a Facebook group dedicated to "Albion Lookalikes". Alex Davies as Rodrigo from Big Brother |
Some particular favourites include Alex Davies as Rodrigo from Big Brother, Tom Skelding as Iain Dowie, Kieran Hallett as a Lego man and my personal favourite, Rory Watts-Jones as "The Head" from childhood TV show Art Attack. The interesting tones that appear in my facial hair have been the main source of ridicule for me after Gary Kingdom dubbed me "Satsuma". Since removing the offending beard the name has stuck which I am obviously delighted about. Thanks Gary, or should I say Donkey.
