Torquay ready for boxing return

Professional boxing will return to Torquay for the first time in 16 years next month when Coastal Carnage comes to the Bay.

The event which is being held at the Riviera International Centre on Saturday, 24 October, will feature seven bouts from local boxers.

Promoter Keith Mayo said: "What we needed to make it happen was to have emerging Devon boxing talent.

"Now we have several exciting fighters from the area."

Dean Mills (Bridgewater) v Chris Higgs (Lydney, Glos)

Paul Brown (Plymouth) v Garry Cooper (Bargoed, Wales)

Dan Stewart (Bristol) v Jimmy Briggs (Barnstaple)

Jamie Speight (Torquay) v John van Emmenis (Bideford)

Lewis Browning (Exeter) v Delroy Spencer (Wolverhampton)

Adam Cummings (Bristol) v Ali Wyatt (Torquay)
