Plymouth Albion started life in the Championship with a four-try win over newly promoted Birmingham & Solihull.

Albion's tries came through Ben Mercer, Tyler Hotson and Geoff Griffiths, with Alex Davies scoring the fourth to secure a bonus point.

The Bees crossed the line through Mark Woodrow in the final quarter, but then had prop Darren O'Reilly red carded.

Kieran Hallett kicked 13 points for Albion as Graham Dawe's men got off to a winning start at Brickfields.
