Launceston saw off Cinderford on the opening day of the National One season, with a hat-trick of tries from winger Kieron Lewitt.

New signing Jason Luff also went over, ensuring Launceston finished with four tries and a bonus point.

Ali Bressington kept Cindeford in touch with the visitors by slotting over two penalties in each half.

Cinderford hooker Nigel Matthews also got on the scoresheet with a try that was duly converted by Bressington.
