Head coach Ben Harvey is pleased with his squad's performance |
Jersey Rugby Club hosts French side Rennes at St Peter on Saturday. It is Jersey's final warm-up game before next weekend's first round match and not much is known of the Federale Division 2 side. Jersey head coach Ben Harvey is interested to see how his Jersey side match up against Rennes. "With all French sides you never know what to expect, so it will be interesting to see," Harvey told BBC Radio Jersey. He added: "We don't really know much about Rennes; I do know they play in the fourth level of French rugby, so they are going to be strong." Jersey has won its previous two pre-season matches, defeating Bournemouth 12-7 first up and then thumping Barnes 40-14 last weekend. Harvey is particularly pleased with the depth of his squad. "We are still missing a few key players but the boys who have played, right across the board every single one of them have done themselves credit." "I'm delighted with the pre-season so far." Kick-off is at 1700 BST at the Jersey Rugby Club.
